We took our time getting ready to leave the Oceana Thousand Trails. I had another article to complete and Bob made the dog food. We left the TT at about 11:30 and drove the full 4 miles to the Ocean City State Park, arriving at about 11:45. We checked in and moved into our site. We were not expecting Joe/Ginny Shannon and Al/Carol Raucheisen until late, as the last we heard they were leaving from Newport OR. They had changed their plans, and Joe/Ginny arrived around 1:30 and Carol / Al arrived about 20 minutes later. We greeted everyone and let them get set up in their sites. Since we were in the middle, everyone came over to our site to sit and talk. After awhile, Al and Carol decided to leave and go exploring in the area. Ginny and Joe stayed until about 4, then they went over to their motor home. Joe and Ginny came back to our site at 6 and we started to barbecue dinner. Al and Carol arrived about 6:30 and there their hot dogs on the grill.
After dinner we all moved over to Al and Carol’s site for a campfire and roasted marshmallows. It was great to see our friends from La Plata MD.
