Sunday July 10- Travel day to Ocean City WA

We had set the alarm for 6:30, ugh! We wanted to be on the road by 8:00 to avoid the awful traffic on I-405. We made it by 8:06, not too bad with having to pack up, dump, and hook-up the car. We had decided to take a different route from the RV park out to I-90, as the road that they sent us in was awful. So we drove a few miles farther east, driving through Fall City, and drove from there out to the interstate. I-405 had much less traffic early on Sunday morning, just as we had hoped. We took the I-5 exit and went south, past Tacoma and farther south to Olympia, where we turned onto Rt. 101 northwest. We then continued onto Rt. 8 heading west towards the beaches. Rt. 8 merged with Rt. 12, then we turned onto Rt. 109, which we followed right to the Thousand Trails/ Leisure Time Oceana resort. This park is okay; it is located on the beach, or as close as you can get to the beach. It is about a ½ mile walk through the dunes to the ocean, although we can hear the surf at the motor home. We have 30 amp with water and have been able to pick up satellite. Tomorrow we moved just a few miles south to the Ocean City State Park, meeting up with friends from Maryland.
