Sunday September 4- North Salt Lake City

We are settled in for the week at Pony Express RV Park. This is a really nice place and you can see downtown Salt Lake from the park. After such a hectic week, we were glad to settle in and relax. Not that we really did! Bob had bought some dry  cleaner for the motor home at the rally. Most places will not let you wash your RV, so we needed the dry chemicals to be able to wash off the suicidal bugs. There are always lots of them on the front of the motor home. It was too hot to do it Saturday, so he was doing it early this morning while it was still cool.

I, of course, was working on laundry. Today was sheets. It takes about 2.5 hours to do each load of sheets. I do one pillow case and one sheet in each load, so it takes 5 hours to wash and dry the sheet set. After they were finished I worked on some of the other loads.

We went to the Super Walmart, 2 exits north on the interstate. Should I say colossal Walmart? This one has 3 entrances! On our way we stopped for lunch, as we were out of sandwich meat. Trying to eat out in Mormon country on a Sunday is a challenge. We ended up at Chuck-o-rama. Yeah, it was as bad as it sounds. Kind of like a Golden Corral,; but like an Alaskan cooking southern cornbread. Actually, an Alaskan might have done a better job. Oh well, win some, lose some!

We took a nap when we returned to the motor home, then headed over to Lee and Barbara’s rig for happy hour. We will be doing happy hour each afternoon over there. They had some friends visiting and another couple from the Rally had arrived. Norm and Mary are next years coordinators. We had a great time.

Then it was back to the motor home for dinner. We worked on genealogy until bedtime.
